Tips to Step Back, Dive In and Feel Good

by Louise Crooks

In light of creating ease while you dive back into work – here are few things to keep in mind to make your stepping into ‘the back to school’ experience feel GOOD:

  • Create a daily ritual to support your inner wellbeing (meditation, quiet time, reading, walking).
  • Pay attention to what you’re eating, and make sure you’re getting a good 8 hours of sleep.
  • Plan your week and day – staying focused on your specific goals. Have 3 mini- goals you want to achieve on your daily list. This keeps things simple and focused.
  • If you’re invited to do something like a webinar or download a free report – choose what is relevant to you and the specific projects and goals you’re working on.
  • Following on…Remind yourself that you don’t need to be doing things now, that you know will be helpful later. I call this info-hoarding. Just focus on what’s relevant, knowing that what you need will be available when you need it. I believe this is where a lot of overwhelm creeps in.
  • Focus on what you’re accomplishing, and not on what is not going well. It helps to have a little journal of successes to write in each night – recording your 5 successes of the day big or small.
  • Remember to make time for yourself outside of your business, to spend with your partner or kids or with friends and hobbies, just having fun and relaxing. Even though you LOVE what you do, it’s important to switch off and focus on something else to recharge and rejuvenate, so you give the best of you to your clients and family, and feel good in the process.

I hope you take at least a couple of those to heart and use them as you move forward. :)

And if you have an opportunity to make the most of the weather while it’s still warm (in the Northern Hemisphere) – do it! Get that Vitamin D up and have fun.

Here’s to you having a very successful and inspired remainder to 2014!
